Using command blocks to detect a specific player and run /setblock when detected in the radius
I'm trying to make a door of disappearing blocks for a house I'm building in creative. I've tried multiple different ways of using the /execute command.
Command I've tried that does not work that I've been suggested before:
execute if entity @a[name=Loscut,distance=3] run setblock 185 4 29 minecraft:redstone_block
This command should place a redstone block at the start of the command block circuit that removes the blocks from the doorway but it is not working. I've set the block to repeat, conditional and always active and still nothing.
There a many questions similar to this but none have offered me a solution of any kind. Any help is greatly appreciated!
